1. What cities or area you do you service?
We provide our catering & event services all across the Mumbai region: Church gate to Virar, CST (VT) to Kalyan, Culaba to Vashi, But our most of works done at western Mumbai suburban area as of now. Andheri to Borivali we provide our service frequently. But we do outdoor catering at Gujrath cities & everywhere in between! & allover Maharashtra if number of gusts more then 1000.
We do cater outside these regions, though, so simply let us know where your event is being held & we can tell you if it's an area we can service.
2. How soon in advance should I place my catering order?
Catering orders need to be placed online at least 3 day in advance. If you do have a same day order, please call our catering department at 9867770011 and we’ll do our best to facilitate your request.
3. What form of payment do you accept?
We accept Cash, Net Banking, Bhim App- UPI Payment, Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards. We also accept company checks for frequent customers. To learn more about our house accounts give us a call.
4. Do you do special events?
We do. If you’re planning a wedding, birthday or any party or corporate function and need assistance from start to finish, click here. We’re here to make your job easier and save you time.
5. Can I make changes to my order?
Yes. for big event 7 day before and small parcel etc order Call our catering department at 9867770011 if you need to make adjustments to your order or cancel your order altogether. Note that last minute adjustments may incur a fee if we’ve already begun production on your order.
6. Is there a minimum order size or delivery fee?
Yes, there is a 50 minimum order size for delivery in Western Mumbai, and a 100 or more pax. for rest of Mumbai area.
7. Do you Provide Vegetarian food?
Yes, we do. We serve only vegetarian- & vegan-friendly menu items.
8. Do you Provide Non-Veg Food Catering? Or Alcohol?
No, we didn’t. Aaswad Caterers= Pure veg, Always.
9. Do you Provide Jain Food?
Yes, we provide Special “Jain Food” most of our given menu please mention in order first. We have special Jain cuisine in our menu.
10. Do your services include cleaning during & after the event?
Yes. Our staff maintains all food stations throughout the event to ensure cleanliness & will bus tables during the event. Our staff is also responsible for cleaning their prep & kitchen area, removing trash, & breaking down & collecting most items rented through us such as china, chairs, tables, tents, etc. Please note that Aaswad Catering staff is not responsible for mopping, vacuuming, or cleaning restrooms.
11. Is Aaswad Caterers Licensed?
Yes, we have all licenses, permits & insurances that are required to prepare & serve food & beverages. We can provide you &/or your event space or company with a copy of these if they are not already on file.
12. What does your staff were while working events?
Our waiters & captains wear black pants, black, long sleeve, button-down collared shirts, a coat or jacket, black belt & black non-slip shoes. Our Live counter Chefs & culinary staff wear white or black Aaswad Catering-embroidered chef jackets. The jackets may be long or no sleeve, depending on whether they are cooking inside or outside & the season. And servers wear T-shirt mention Helper on same. Managers wear formal cloths per need.
How far in advance do I need to book you?
If you know your event date, we always recommend you book to save your date as soon as possible. Particular months fill up quickly, & weekend days any time of year are especially likely to fill up. Once you have signed your contract & paid your initial deposit, your date is locked in & on our calendar.
14. Are there any dates or holidays you do not cater?
We strive to cater any event, 24/7/365. There may be exceptions such as the size of the event (under 50 guests), its location, or if the date is already fully-booked.
15. If I need to cancel my event, what is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel your event, your deposit(s) will be applied toward the cost of any new event contracted with Aaswad Catering within 90 days of your cancellation. Cancellations must be made no later than 30 calendar days prior to your event for this policy to be valid. Any deposits made are non-refundable if your event cancellation is made less than 29 days prior to your event.
16. How long is your food service?
Hours of food service vary depending on the menu & event. Your Aaswad Catering sales manager will discuss with you the service hours of your specific event during your consultation.
17. Can you provide me with any service other than catering?
Absolutely! We have a one-stop-solution of your every event, so we are happy to arrange event rentals you need such as Decoration (guest tables, seating, linens, chair covers, china, tents) - almost everything you can think of! We can also arrange entertainment services like a DJ, Emcee, & bounce houses, Photography and videography, Flower Arrangements, and Pandit for Vidhi, Host for Party, Magician, Mehendi or Tattoo Artist and more. Just let us know what you need & we will include those items in your catering package quote.
18. There is no kitchen where my event is being held. Are you still able to cater it?
Yes, we can! In addition to what we can prepare at our kitchen, we also have a mobile kitchen which allows us to cook some of your food right on-site. Please let us know where your event is being held when you give us your event details, so we can address the logistics and any possible issues.
19. Can I Customize my catering Package? I don’t see one that has everything I’ m looking for.
Absolutely! We will work with you to create the catering menu that suits you best. You can mix dishes from different menu packages, choose action stations, basically you can pretty much create any assortment of items you'd like for your menu. We can also customize your package by adding special services, rentals you need, and even entertainment & activities.
20. Are there additional fees/ charges not included in your packages?
Yes. A 18% Gst will be added to all package sub totals, & there is a 3% charge for payments made by credit or debit card. If outside of Mumbai region staff charge, & travel fees also apply, based on the size of your event, your subtotal & where the event is being held. These additional charges or fees will be noted on & calculated into your catering quote & contract. Important Note: Some venues charge their own, separate usage fee; please ask us about your venue or inquire with them to find out if they charge an additional fee, and if so, how much it is.
21. Are there charges for necessities like plate, Glass water?
No, any catering menu you choose will include the basics: disposable plates, flatware, napkins, & buffet tables with linens. If you would like china & glass water goblets, or glassware for your bar package, those are an additional cost, we do have all-inclusive packages that include these items. But rentals such as tables, chairs, & tents are also available for an additional cost if outside venue.
22. Do you offer tasting so I can try items before I Book you?
Yes, for 300 and more pax order if time is in or hand. we are happy to offer our clients one complimentary private tasting for two, once you have received your catering quote. We arrange twice in year ‘food tasting party’ for our booked customers, you will invite with your family. After you have received your catering quote, please request a tasting if you are interested & our sales manager will work with you to schedule it.
23. Do you require a deposit to hold my date?
Yes. For weddings we require an initial 10% non-refundable deposit at contract signing, 40% no later than 45 days prior to your event date & the final contract balance is due 7 days prior to your event. For all other events, we require a 50% deposit to hold your date & the remaining balance is due no later than 14 days prior to your event.
24. How do I make my deposit & any subsequent payments?
You may bring your cash or check payment to our office, located at B 508 Riddhi Siddhi Apartment, Daftary Road, KurarVillage Malad € Mumbai 400097. For credit card payments, (subject to a 3% processing fee). You can use our site payment gatway in store. You may also make your payment by Bhim App – Bharat UPI.
25 What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, barre checks, debit cards & credit cards: American Express, MasterCard, & Visa. Sorry, we do not accept Discover cards. There is a 3% processing fee for all credit card transactions.
26. When do you need my final guest count?
We require your final guest count at least 14 days prior to your event so we can prepare accordingly.
Corporate Catering Questions
1. What is included in your corporate catering orders?
Disposable plates, utensils, napkins & disposable tablecloths. Hot items also come with chafers & sternos to keep food hot. Included or added beverages come with disposable cups & beverage napkins (& ice, creamers, sweeteners, as applicable). Our professional staff will deliver & set up your order, as well as return to clean up (unless you prefer drop-off only).
How far in advance do I have to place my corporate catering order?
We require all corporate catering orders be placed a minimum of 36 hours in advance of the requested delivery time.
What days and hours can I order corporate catering?
Our corporate catering menu is available for delivery/setup Mondays - Saturdays, 6 am to 8 pm. Days & times are subject to schedule availability. Online orders for corporate catering can be placed 24/7/365 (if the requested delivery time is at least 24 hours away).
How do I cancel or change an order I placed online?
You must call our office at 9867770011 to change or cancel you order. Cancellations or changes must be made at least 36 hours prior to your delivery time. We may not be able to accommodate order changes without 36 hours’ notice, and orders cancelled without 36 hours’ notice are subject to a cancellation fee or may be non-refundable.
What charges/ fees are not included in the menu price?
18% GST., delivery charges, as applicable, will be added to each order before checkout.
Why am I unable to complete my online order?
You may be unable to complete your online order if there are schedule conflicts: requested delivery time is in less than 24 hours; minimum order amount has not been met; delivery is for a day/time we are closed or fully scheduled; or there is incomplete order or payment information. Please review your order &/or delivery time/day to see if any of these apply.
